Here at Ralph Thoresby school we like to think that we are inventive and imaginative. To raise money for the British Heart Foundation three students had been asked to take part in a round of golf with a twist. James Douglas (captain), Adam Potter and Tom Dickinson had to attempt to play the first seven holes at Cookridge Hall Golf Club in only 30 minutes. Armed with only 3 or 4 clubs each, they sprinted down the first.

I spend a good six months looking forward to bombing down a hill on a plank of fiberglass and other materials to have it end in the blink of an eye. But what a trip. The staff enjoy it, the kids loved it and big thanks from all of us to Mr M.Gill for organising it.

Just a quick email to keep you up to date with how we are doing. The coach we had was very nice, leather seats, air con, and seats which actually get wider. The crossing was as flat as a hedgehog on the M1. We made great time being the first coach to turn up at the resort in Aosta. It snowed as we came out of the Mont Blanc tunnel but Aosta is dry which is a good job because most of the children have only brought beach clothing. In one of the girls rooms they have 23 pairs of shoes between 3 of them. The forecast for the week is good with cold crisp weather and more snow due. The kids are ready to ski and board after a lazy day which was needed after the lack of sleep we had on the overnight trip.
