You can access the application via: https://www.gov.uk/apply-online-for-student-finance

Below, you will find a downloadable guide with all the relevant information to ensure this process is made as simple as possible.

The application deadline is 31st May, by which point students must have:

a) Completed their own section

b) Have ensured their parent/carer has completed their application

c) Have returned requested parental documents.

The process can take up to 6 weeks, so starting the application immediately is recommended. Failure to meet this deadline makes it unlikely for students to have access to their loan by the beginning of their studies in September.

Students who apply for finance and who subsequently choose not to go to university will not be penalised.

The student need not have made a firm decision on their university at this stage, but should use the university and course they are most likely to select as their first choice. This can be altered at a later date.

Students must have access to:

a) A form of ID (Passport is preferred)

b) A bank account number and sort code.

If you have any questions about this process, please do feel free to contact Mr. McGill at school or via e-mail (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).
