Ambition and Achievement for All

Back to home

PE

PE is an important subject through which students develop confidence, communication skills, team work and leadership skills

We firmly believe that sport is for all and not only for the most able performers.  There are 5 full time staff within the department and a number of other staff who support with extra curricular activities.  All staff are committed to encouraging all students to participate fully in all PE lessons, as well joining an after school club.

The PE facilities are excellent and consist of a sports hall, Multi Use Games Area, Astroturf and 2 fields.

In recent years, the sports teams at Ralph Thoersby have done fantastically well.  The successes we have enjoyed include the U19 Flitman cup, National Table Cricket Champions and Year 10 Football League Winners.
